In the continued development of our biopharmaceutical product portfolio, HUYA is seeking a self-motivated individual to work in a fast-paced environment as the scientific leader of our rapidly growing team.
The successful candidate will be capable of critically analyzing and accurately summarizing a wide range of preclinical and clinical data in a broad range of therapeutic areas, evaluating programs for scientific merit and competitive advantage, managing preclinical and early clinical development programs, as well as interacting with Chinese and western pharmaceutical partners.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify in-licensing opportunities for internal development and presentation to partners
- Perform detailed due diligence on top portfolio compounds
- Oversee the teams responsible for the preclinical and clinical development of novel therapeutics
The position requires a Ph.D., M.D. or Pharm.D. degree with at least 15 years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience in a broad range of therapeutic areas as well as in-depth knowledge of the R & D landscape, including development and regulatory requirements in the West and preferably China as well. Candidate must have IND filing experience.
The candidate must possess excellent written/verbal English communication skills and the ability to function in a fast-paced and highly team-oriented environment. Fluency in written and oral Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
The position is full-time and the candidate must be within commuting distance to HUYA's Del Mar, CA headquarters.
