In the continued development of our biopharmaceutical product portfolio, HUYA is seeking self-motivated individuals to work in a fast-paced environment as a member of a rapidly growing team that is responsible for performing critical review of Chinese therapeutic product opportunities for internal and partner use.
The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent in biology or related discipline plus a minimum of 5 years oncology drug discovery/development experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment. Knowledge of the oncology drug landscape and experience evaluating cancer programs for scientific merit and competitive advantage is highly desirable.
The candidate must be within commuting distance to HUYA's San Diego, CA headquarters. Excellent written/verbal English communication skills, as demonstrated by published works, successful grants and/or presentations are critical.
Reporting to a matrix organization, responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the evaluation of a product opportunity's potential for market success and development risk
- Summarizing drug research and development information (e.g. compound characterization, in vitro/in vivo models, preclinical and clinical data)
- Preparing project reports and presentations for internal and partner use, utilizing information from internal and external databases
- Maintaining tracking lists of a large number of opportunities, monitoring evaluation status, priority, follow-up in China, partner interests, etc.
The position may be full-time, part-time or on a consulting basis, depending on the candidate's experience/schedule and the company's needs.
